7. Purposes of Processing in More Detail
7.1 Providing and administering the Services
We use personal data to create and authenticate accounts, process enrolments, provide course access, deliver downloads and bonuses, maintain progress records, generate charts, operate the community, provide AI functionality, administer memberships and respond to requests.
7.2 Payments, accounting and tax
We use transaction and billing information to process purchases, confirm payment, issue receipts or invoices, administer refunds, prevent fraud, handle disputes, maintain accounting records and comply with tax and regulatory obligations.
7.3 Service communications
We may send essential communications about purchases, access, security, service changes, scheduled content releases, account administration, legal notices and customer support. These messages are not marketing and may continue even if you opt out of promotional communications.
7.4 Personalisation and product improvement
We may use usage, progress, preference, feedback and technical data to understand how people use Mini Moon, improve lesson structure, fix errors, develop new features, customise educational recommendations and measure whether our Services are functioning as intended. Where feasible, we use aggregated or de-identified information for analysis.
7.5 Marketing and advertising
Subject to applicable law and your choices, we may use contact, preference and interaction data to send newsletters, product announcements, educational content, invitations, offers and relevant advertising. We may measure campaign effectiveness and create audiences through advertising platforms. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link or contacting us.
7.6 Safety, integrity and enforcement
We use personal data to protect accounts, detect suspicious activity, investigate misuse, moderate community content, enforce our Terms & Conditions, prevent fraud, maintain backups, respond to security incidents and protect Mini Moon, our users and others.
8. Birth Data and Information About Children
Mini Moon's Services are designed for adult users, including parents, caregivers and educators. The Services are not directed to children and children should not create accounts, make purchases or independently use Mini Moon GPT or community features.
An adult user may submit a child's birth details to generate a chart or obtain educational guidance. In that situation:
the adult submitting the data is responsible for having parental responsibility, guardianship, appropriate authority or another lawful basis to provide it;
only information reasonably necessary for the requested Service should be provided;
the information must not be used to label, diagnose, discriminate against or limit the child;
the adult must protect the child's privacy when posting in community spaces or using AI features;
full names, photographs, addresses, schools, medical records and other identifying details should not be shared unless genuinely necessary and expressly requested.
If we learn that a child has directly provided personal data without appropriate authorisation, we may delete the data, close the account or request verification from a parent or guardian. A parent or guardian who believes that a child's information has been submitted improperly may contact hello@minimoonparenting.com.
9. Artificial Intelligence and Automated Processing
Mini Moon may use third-party AI models, infrastructure and content-safety tools to operate Mini Moon GPT and related features. Information submitted to an AI feature may be transmitted to and processed by those providers on our behalf or, in limited cases, under their own terms as separately disclosed.
We may use AI interaction data to provide an answer, maintain conversation context, detect prohibited use, troubleshoot failures, evaluate quality and improve our Services. We will not intentionally use identifiable child data to train a general-purpose public AI model without a lawful basis and appropriate notice.
Mini Moon does not currently intend to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects solely through automated processing. AI outputs are educational suggestions and require human judgement. Where applicable law grants rights relating to automated decision-making, you may contact us using the details below.
10. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, local storage, software development kits, tags and similar technologies to operate the Website, remember preferences, maintain sessions, understand usage, measure communications and, where permitted, support advertising.
10.1 Types of technologies we may use
Strictly necessary technologies, required for security, authentication, checkout, account access and core functionality.
Preference technologies, used to remember language, consent and other settings.
Analytics technologies, used to understand traffic, usage, performance and errors.
Marketing technologies, used to measure campaigns, limit repetition and show relevant advertisements.
Embedded-content technologies, used when videos, forms, calendars, social-media features or other third-party content are displayed.
Where required, non-essential technologies will be used only after you provide consent through the cookie banner or settings tool. You can change your choices through available cookie settings or your browser. Blocking some technologies may affect functionality.
11. Analytics, Advertising and Social Media
Mini Moon may use analytics and advertising services such as Google Analytics, Meta technologies or comparable providers. Depending on configuration and consent, these services may receive device, cookie, IP, page-view, event and campaign data. We use this information to analyse usage, improve the Services, attribute purchases and measure or personalise advertising.
Social-media buttons, embedded posts and video players may allow the relevant platform to collect information about your visit, particularly if you are logged into that platform. Those providers control their own processing under their privacy policies.
Where required by law, you may opt out of advertising cookies or the sale or sharing of personal information through our cookie settings, a recognised browser-based preference signal where supported, or by contacting us.
12. Email, Newsletters and Direct Marketing
We may send marketing communications when you subscribe, request information, purchase from us where permitted by law, or otherwise consent. Marketing may include educational content, course information, launches, offers, event invitations and product updates.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by selecting the unsubscribe link in the message or contacting hello@minimoonparenting.com. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop transactional, account, security or legal communications.
We may use email-delivery and engagement information to maintain deliverability, understand which communications are useful and improve campaigns. Where required, tracking will be subject to consent or other applicable legal requirements.
13. When We Share Personal Data
We do not disclose personal data indiscriminately. We may share it with the following categories of recipients when reasonably necessary and legally permitted:
Platform and hosting providers, including Kajabi and providers that host the Website, course, account, community or digital content.
Payment providers, banks and fraud-prevention services that process transactions and verify payments.
Email, customer-support and communications providers that deliver messages and manage enquiries.
Cloud, database, cybersecurity, backup and technical-service providers.
Analytics, advertising and social-media providers, subject to applicable consent and opt-out requirements.
Astrology calculation, geolocation and time-zone providers used to generate birth charts.
AI model, infrastructure, moderation and safety providers used to deliver AI features.
Professional advisers such as accountants, lawyers, auditors, insurers and tax advisers.
Government agencies, courts, regulators or law-enforcement authorities where legally required or necessary to protect rights and safety.
A buyer, investor, successor or adviser in connection with a merger, financing, restructuring, sale of assets or similar corporate transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
Other persons at your direction or with your consent.
Service providers acting on our behalf are expected to process personal data only for authorised purposes, implement appropriate safeguards and comply with applicable data-protection obligations.
14. International Data Transfers
Mini Moon is established in Estonia, while our users and service providers may be located around the world. Personal data may therefore be processed in countries outside your place of residence, including countries that may not provide the same level of legal protection.
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies and personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we rely on an approved transfer mechanism where required, such as an adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, or another lawful safeguard. We may also rely on limited statutory derogations where appropriate.
You may contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to a particular transfer, subject to confidentiality and security limitations.
15. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the Services, maintain business and tax records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, protect security and comply with legal obligations.
Retention depends on the type of data and context. Typical factors include:
whether you maintain an active account, enrolment, membership or subscription;
whether the data is needed to deliver a purchased product or preserve course access;
statutory accounting, tax, consumer-protection and record-keeping requirements;
the limitation period for potential legal claims;
security, fraud-prevention, moderation and dispute needs;
your choices, deletion request and applicable legal exceptions;
backup cycles and technical deletion schedules.
When personal data is no longer required, we delete, anonymise or securely isolate it, unless continued retention is permitted or required by law. Aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify an individual may be retained for analysis, research and business planning.
16. Data Security
We use administrative, technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure or access. Measures may include access controls, authentication, encryption in transit where supported, provider due diligence, backups, confidentiality obligations, logging and incident-response procedures.
No internet service or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. You are responsible for using a strong password, protecting your login credentials, keeping devices secure and notifying us promptly of suspected unauthorised access.
If a personal-data breach occurs, we will assess it and provide notifications to regulators or affected individuals where required by applicable law.
17. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have some or all of the following rights:
Right to be informed about how your personal data is processed.
Right of access to obtain confirmation and a copy of personal data.
Right to rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data.
Right to erasure in circumstances provided by law.
Right to restrict processing in certain circumstances.
Right to data portability for certain data processed by automated means on consent or contract grounds.
Right to object to processing based on legitimate interests and to object at any time to direct marketing.
Right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.
Rights relating to certain solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
Right to complain to a competent data-protection authority.
Right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising applicable privacy rights.
Rights are not absolute. We may decline or limit a request where an exception applies, including where processing is required by law, necessary to establish or defend legal claims, needed to protect another person's rights, or where we cannot verify the requester.
18. How to Exercise Your Rights
To exercise a privacy right, email hello@minimoonparenting.com and describe the request. Please identify the email address associated with your account and the Service involved.
We may request reasonable information to verify your identity and authority before responding. Where permitted, an authorised agent may submit a request, but we may require proof of authorisation and direct verification from the individual.
We aim to respond within the period required by applicable law. The GDPR generally requires a response without undue delay and within one month, subject to permitted extensions for complex or numerous requests. We do not ordinarily charge a fee, but may charge a reasonable fee or refuse requests that are manifestly unfounded or excessive where the law permits.
19. European Economic Area and Estonian Residents
If the GDPR applies, you have the rights described in Sections 17 and 18. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.
Mini Moon's lead supervisory authority may be the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon), subject to the GDPR's rules on competence and cross-border processing. We encourage you to contact us first so that we can try to resolve your concern.
20. United Kingdom Residents
If UK data-protection law applies, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and rights relating to certain automated decisions. You may also complain to the United Kingdom Information Commissioner's Office. International transfers of UK personal data will be handled using a lawful UK transfer mechanism where required.
21. United States State Privacy Disclosures
Certain U.S. state privacy laws grant rights only when a business meets specific thresholds and when exemptions do not apply. If a law applies to Mini Moon and to your personal information, you may have rights to know or access, correct, delete, obtain a portable copy, and opt out of certain targeted advertising, sale or sharing, profiling or processing of sensitive data.
21.1 Categories collected and disclosed
During the preceding twelve months, Mini Moon may have collected the categories described in Section 4 and disclosed them for business purposes to the recipient categories described in Section 13. These may include identifiers, customer records, commercial information, internet or network activity, approximate geolocation, audio or visual information, inferences, account credentials and sensitive personal information where voluntarily supplied.
21.2 Sale, sharing and targeted advertising
Mini Moon does not sell personal information for money in the ordinary meaning of the word. However, some privacy laws define 'sale', 'sharing' or 'targeted advertising' broadly enough to include disclosure of cookie or device data to advertising partners. Where those laws apply, you may opt out through available cookie settings, a recognised opt-out preference signal where legally required and technically supported, or by contacting us.
21.3 Sensitive personal information
We use sensitive personal information only for purposes reasonably necessary to provide requested Services, protect accounts, process payments, comply with law, or as otherwise disclosed with consent. We do not use it to infer characteristics for unrelated purposes unless we provide the notice and choices required by law.
21.4 Appeals and non-discrimination
Where applicable law provides an appeal right, you may appeal a denied privacy request by replying to our decision. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
22. California Privacy Notice
If the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, applies to Mini Moon and to your personal information, California residents may have rights to know, access, correct and delete personal information; receive information about categories collected, sources, purposes and recipients; and opt out of sale or sharing. California residents may also have rights relating to the use or disclosure of sensitive personal information and may use an authorised agent.
Mini Moon does not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16 years of age. Requests may be submitted to hello@minimoonparenting.com. We may need to verify identity and residency before fulfilling a request.
23. Canada, Australia and Other Jurisdictions
Residents of Canada, Australia and other jurisdictions may have rights under local privacy laws, including rights of access, correction, complaint, consent withdrawal or deletion in defined circumstances. We will honour applicable rights where Mini Moon is subject to the relevant law. You may contact us to make a request or raise a concern.
24. Community Privacy and Public Content
Information you post in Mini Moon Village or another shared space may be visible to other members. Please do not post information about yourself, a child or another person that you do not want community members to see. Avoid sharing full names, addresses, school information, medical records, passwords, payment information or other sensitive identifiers.
Other users may take screenshots or otherwise copy content despite community rules. Mini Moon cannot guarantee that every member will comply, although we may moderate content and suspend members who breach our Terms. Contact us if you need help removing content you posted, recognising that copies may remain in backups, legal records or content shared by others.
25. Testimonials, Reviews and Media
If you submit a testimonial, review, photo, video or success story, we will use it for promotional purposes only with permission or another lawful basis. We will explain the intended use and, where appropriate, whether your name, image, social-media handle or other identifying details will appear. You may withdraw consent for future use where consent is the basis, although we may not be able to recall materials already lawfully printed or distributed.
26. Links and Third-Party Services
The Website may link to third-party sites, payment pages, social-media platforms, video hosts, scheduling tools or other services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices. Mini Moon is not responsible for third-party processing outside our control. Review the relevant privacy policy before providing information.
27. Business Transfers
If Mini Moon is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation, insolvency, sale of assets or transfer of all or part of the business, personal data may be disclosed to advisers, potential counterparties and successors where legally permitted. We will take reasonable steps to require confidentiality and to ensure that personal data continues to be handled consistently with applicable law.
28. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers offer Do Not Track settings. Because there is not a single universally implemented standard, our Services may not respond to every Do Not Track signal. Where applicable law requires recognition of a qualifying universal opt-out mechanism, such as a supported Global Privacy Control signal, we will process it as required for the relevant browser or device.
29. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our Services, technology, providers, business practices or legal obligations. The revised Policy will be posted on the Website with a new 'Last Updated' date. If a change materially affects how we use personal data, we will provide additional notice or seek consent where required.
Your continued use of the Services after an update does not override any consent requirement or privacy right provided by law.
